Shannon Mokoro

Shannon Butler-Mokoro is an Associate Professor in the School of Social Work at Salem State University in Salem, Massachusetts USA. She has over 20 years of clinical and teaching experience combined. Dr. Mokoro specializes in creating culturally competent environments, feminist social work practice, and social welfare history of African Americans. Her current research projects are an edited book on feminist social work practices and an article on the black inmates at Tewksbury Almshouse.
